Department

Our Finance Department is responsible for providing financial analysis, planning, control and accounting services to the key business units within the Club. With the Club developing its business to meet new customer needs, Finance is playing an expanded and increasingly proactive role. 

We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual to join its Planning and Analysis team to provide analytical support to business units.

 

The Job               

  • Ensure the Club’s annual budget is timely prepared and its alignment with the Club’s guidelines and directions with focus on Information Technology (IT) Division and Clubwide IT Thematic capital & operating expenditure.
  • Give guidance to the Finance and the IT teams in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, analysis and forecasting. Work very closely with the division and be accountable for all budgets, reports, forecast and analysis provided to the division.  Monitor business and financial performance with the IT teams.
  • Evaluate, review, monitor and provide value-added analysis and recommendation to support and influence key IT stakeholders in business decisions relating to IT investment on capital investment proposals ensuring the investment aligned with the Club's strategy.  Investment is financially sound, monitored properly, and risks are mitigated. This includes the identification of potential savings to optimise return on investment or minimise costs.
  • Provide financial support on divisional and club-wise strategic initiatives and IT Digital Transformation Programme.  To ensure proper implementation and governance of the initiatives and they are operated within plan.
  • Ensure proper authorization of operational spending and capital projects in accordance with the Club’s authorization level and process. Evaluate major operation expenditures and capital projects, in terms of financial costs and benefits analysis; in-depth scenario analysis; provide financial support in procurement process and ensure proper cost control up to project completion.
  • Take the lead in driving continuous process improvement to simplify, standardize and automate processes/reports;
  • Manage and coach the team and individual team members to achieve the team's KPI / objectives and individual performance.
  • Liaise and coordinate with Finance stakeholders on various Club initiatives and ad hoc assignments;

 

 About You

  • Degree in accounting or related disciplines, with recognized professional qualification in accounting, finance or relevant fields
  • Minimum of 12 years working experience in finance or accounting and preferably with some experience in business operations, project management or procurement in a sizable IT /Telecommunication company
  • Solid financial management experience in major projects / operations, financial planning, modelling, management and control. Preferably with some experience in business operations, project management or procurement in a sizable IT organization
  • Preferably individuals would have experience in a medium to large sized organisation and preferably with IT/Telecommunication background with large scale system development and implementation
  • Independent mind, self-motivation with mature business acumen
  • Strong leadership with people and change management skills
  • Effective communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese  with proven ability to work closely with all levels including senior management
