Our Team: Our Fixed Income Primary Market Data team is responsible for the timely and accurate publication of new bonds being brought to market. Responsibilities also include developing automated pipelines for ingestion and publication of new issue data, enhancing our primary markets dataset, and finding opportunities to expand our data product offering through client engagement. Our team works closely with internal consumers of our data including the News, Evaluated Pricing, and Index teams. We also heavily collaborate with our counterparts in Product, Sales & Engineering.

What's the role?

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven Fixed Income primary market data team leader to cover the data management, quality control and data processes that drive our New Issues product. You will play a critical role in developing and leading a team of data professionals with diverse experience and expertise spanning across several functions and subject matter areas. You will be required to lead team members and partners across different geographical locations. You will guide your teams to think strategically, apply data management best practices to their data sets, and to deliver quality data that is ready to use and fit for purpose. You are also expected to drive and instill a dynamic culture, as well as proactively champion inclusive behavior by building a safe environment where differences are recognized, respected and able to thrive. In doing so, you'll build a close partnership with Engineering, Product, Sales, Market Specialists and other departments.

We'll trust you to:

  • Recruit, coach, and develop a team of analysts who will be experts in their product demonstrated through processing time-sensitive, high-quality financial data, data analysis, and project management
  • Develop data modeling and quality skills within the team and collaborate with Engineering teams to develop a robust data product that can deliver value across multiple client-facing products
  • Keep abreast of market trends and partner with other data and core business groups, such as Product, Sales, Market Specialists, News and Engineering to help develop and improve fit-for-purpose data that powers our products
  • Build processes and standards that enable delivery of data that meets or exceeds client SLAs and supports superior customer service
  • Ensure consistency and quality while delivering excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Develop the team's subject matter and data expertise, aligning to the current industry standard process and trends to be able to proactively spot gaps and opportunities for future innovations
  • Collaborate with global counterparts to evolve the role, workflow, and operating procedures to ensure consistency in data quality and timeliness across regions
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively manage team members located across Asia Pacific

You'll need to have:

  • 3+ years of experience with proven leadership experience or strong relevant experience as an individual contributor
  • Demonstrable experience in data management related roles such as data quality, data modeling and/or data engineering
  • Deep understanding of fixed income knowledge, particularly around the bond lifecycle and primary bond market
  • Vision to align your team's goals of superior service with internal/external clients, and the ability to implement a business and people strategy which delivers on that vision
  • Experience driving strategies, managing complex projects, and leadership ability in change management or influencing others
  • Expert-level knowledge of data processing paradigms and associated tools and technologies
