Korean International School (KIS) is a private, independent school with an enrolment of over 800 students representing more than 30 nationalities. We offer a British-style academic education designed for the English-speaking community in Hong Kong.
We are currently seeking a Receptionist and Administrator to join our team.
Reception Duties
Serve as the first point of contact for parents, students, staff, and visitors, ensuring a professional and friendly image of the school.
Operate the school’s main telephone system, including answering calls, transferring them to the appropriate department, and taking accurate messages.
Respond to inquiries (via email, phone, or in person) from parents, students, and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
Administrative Duties
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, courier services, and faxes.
Maintain and replenish office supplies, ensuring the office and pantry remain organized and functional.
Manage pupil attendance records, including daily updates, follow-ups, and reporting absences or early departures.
Support the Human Resources department with basic report generation and document administration tasks.
Undertake other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirement
Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in an educational or international setting.
Familiarity with student attendance systems or administrative software is a plus.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is a MUST (Korean is an advantage).
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Drive Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with people.
Interpersonal Skills: Friendly, approachable, and customer-oriented; able to handle inquiries and requests with patience and professionalism.
Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking, time management, and problem-solving abilities; detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
Work Ethic: Responsible, stable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in Hong Kong.
Benefits
Work-Life Balance:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Reduced Working Hours: During school holidays (approximately 2 months per year), working hours are reduced to 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
