Job Description:
We are looking for a freelance/part-time Technical Advisor to lead tech projects, oversee overall project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality completion. Currently we are seeking a 3-5 hours input per week to start with (freelance/part-time), to help advise our team of engineers, and hands-on coding some parts of the projects/ and co-ordinating the codes. You will als o liaise between the business team, who will bring customers’ feedback and requests, and the product team to deliver the most customer-friendly product.
This role requires a strong technical background and project management experience, with the ability to efficiently manage complex technical projects under high-pressure conditions.
If the collaboration is good, ideally we are looking for long-term collaboration / employment / co-founding potentials. We are a team that generally prefers long-term team building. As a full-time employee, you will be eligible for industry-average full-time salary and incentives, and early employee shareholding plans. If becoming a partner/tech cofounder, you will be eligible for a substantial share as a partner cofounder.
For the moment, remote is acceptable as our team is generally remote as well. But as our revenue grows and company expands, we will look to set up a physical headquarter and will encourage employees to work hybrid on site. Migration incentives will be provided then.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Management
- Develop comprehensive project plans based on company strategy and business needs, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
- Ensure project goals are clearly defined and achievable.
2. Task Allocation & Team Coordination
- Assign tasks to tech team members, track progress, and coordinate resources.- Ensure team efficiency and adjust resources promptly to address project changes.
3. Quality Assurance & Acceptance
- Guarantee the quality of project deliverables.
- Lead technical reviews, code audits, documentation delivery, and acceptance processes to ensure all outputs meet standards.
4. Progress Tracking & Risk Management
- Regularly check project progress, identify and assess potential risks.
- Take timely measures to mitigate risks and ensure on-time project completion.
5. Technical Guidance /Hands-on & Support
- Provide technical support and solve project-related technical challenges.
- Guide the team in overcoming complex technical difficulties.
- Hands on projects and codes when needed
6. Project Review & Optimization
- Conduct project retrospectives and summarise key takeaways.
- Propose improvements to optimize project management processes and technical implementation strategies.
- Currently, we have two 2C products, but one of the products will look to also open for 2B possibilities. We are in talk with several large business clients that require us to build products onto their portal. Thus, we highly prefer talents that have experiences / will have the ability to build versatile products (miniprogrammes, website plug-ins, etc.) onto clients’ portals and platforms.

- Possess the ability to recruit the right technical talents
- Able to coordinate with external freelance tech teams
Job Requirements:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Work Experience:
- At least 3 years of project management experience in an internet/tech company.
- Preferably experienced in managing projects in related domains.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in both front-end (React, Vue.js, Angular) and back-end (Node.js, Python, Java) development, with experience in API design and database management.
- Familiar with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Baidu Cloud) and capable of server deployment, load balancing, and CI/CD integration.
- Knowledge of DevOps technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) with experience in system optimization and security management.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Confluence) and agile methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Strong cross-team communication skills to collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and technical teams
Project Management Skills:
- Ability to plan and drive technical projects, ensuring progress, quality, and budget control.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to make sound judgments based on business needs and technical feasibility.
- High self-motivation and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing related AI projects: AI videos, lipsyncing, AI companions, AI voice, etc.
- Having used Lark as a project management tool
- Experience in content creation or companion type of products and businesses
- Strong understanding of Agile development processes, with the ability to adapt quickly in Agile environments.
Compensation:
Freelance to start - please provide your expectation on a biweekly or monthly basis during the part-time period
We will provide market competitive full-time local salary and shares once turning into full-time position.
