The Senior Accountant will play a key position in managing the books and records of the AP central entities. Responsibilities will include assisting in day-to-day finance operations, preparation of monthly management accounts and assisting in tax and audit compliance in concert with the AP Manager/AP Financial Controller.

Given the breadth of the stakeholders within AP, a successful candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills and self-confidence when dealing with senior leaders. Work you'll do

Managing operational transactions in AP

  • Assist in managing the AP central operating budget and other project and initiative budgets
  • Liaising with budget owners and other stakeholders to ensure the relevant transactions are duly approved and accurately recorded.
  • Managing billings and payments

Financial Accounting

  • Handle monthly close including monthly journals and reconciliations.
  • Ensuring that the books are record are compliant with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/HKFRS) and captures all relevant transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Asist in ad hoc assignments or duties

Management Reporting

  • Assist in preparing monthly management reporting requirements including group consolidated reporting, budget vs actual analysis & forecasting.
  • Assist with the preparation of materials and reports for senior leadership

Statutory & Regulatory Reporting

  • Assist in preparing the books and records for audit & tax purposes
  • Support in responding to audit & tax informational requests/queries.

We are looking for someone with

Education: Undergraduate or Master’s Degree in an accounting field preferred

Years of Experience: 4 to 6 years’ experience in financial accounting, reporting and analysis

Other Qualifications & Skills:

  • Recognized accounting professional qualification such as HKICPA or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Excel to enable efficient and effective data processing, analysis & reporting as required.
  • Experience working in Xero & Fathom will be viewed favourably
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication and a high level of English proficiency.
