This Senior Accountant role is critical to the financial operations of Stryker’s APAC Headquarters. The position is responsible for maintaining the books for the APAC HQ legal entities, including overseeing the Purchase to Pay (PTP) process, T&E process, high-risk payment process, Record-to-Report (RTR) activities, and financial reporting. The role requires close business partnering with HQ functional teams and the FP&A team, as well as managing a business process outsourcing (BPO) accounting firm for RTR and Procure-to-Pay (PTP) services. Additionally, the role supports statutory audits, tax filings, and cash flow/treasury management, ensuring robust processes, controls, and documentation are in place.

Reporting to the Associate Finance Manager, APAC HQ, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in driving process improvements, supporting compliance initiatives, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

What You Will Do

• Accurate and timely financial reporting for APAC HQ legal entities.
• Effective collaboration with HQ functional teams, FP&A, the APAC Tax team, and BPO providers.
• Strong internal controls, process documentation, and SOX and statutory requirements compliance.
• Timely resolution of intercompany and accounting discrepancies.
• Successful implementation of process improvements and system enhancements.
• Deliver impactful financial process training to HQ users.
  
  

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA or equivalent accounting qualification (attained or in progress).
• Minimum 2 years of Big 4 audit experience or 5+ years of commercial accounting experience.
• Experience with US GAAP and SOX 404 compliance preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Effective relationship management and stakeholder influencing skills.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and sensitivity to numbers and details.
