Brown Brothers Harriman (“BBH”) is an award-winning provider of global custody, fund accounting and administration, foreign exchange, securities lending and technology solutions for many of the world’s leading asset managers and financial institutions.
The BBH Markets Group provide servicing and operational coverage across three time zones for FX Trading of the Firm as well as clients’ Securities Lending activities. Market Services within Service Delivery in Asia serves as an integral part of BBH’s Global Operating Model in supporting Asia time zone and regional markets activities.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Transactions Processing and Workflow Management
  • Supporting regional FX Operation activities and facilitate Securities Lending related inquiries
  • Liaise with counterparties, regional sub-custodians to facilitate smooth execution or settlement
  • Trade entry, reconciliations, confirmation and reporting
  • Perform and review daily production and controls to ensure quality and timeliness
  • Coordinates intraday and end of day prioritization, escalation and reconciliation
  • Monitors and assists in the resolution of issues and inquiries
Quality Control / Assurance
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions related to responsible products
  • Identification and prompt escalation of any potential exposure items to mitigate risk exposures
  • Communicating professionally and effectively to alleviate or resolve issues
  • Ensuring adherence to all established policies, procedures and controls
  • Act as a risk control agent in the Market Services arena
Client Service
  • Prompt respond to internal and external inquiries or requests (emails and phone calls)
  • Functional and/or client dedicated mailbox monitoring
  • Close collaboration with all internal groups to facilitate request handling and effective issues resolution
  • Be familiar with department, firm and industry initiatives affecting our clients
  • Gain sufficient knowledge to anticipate questions and/or issues raised by our clients
  • Subject Matter Expertise to assist in attracting and retaining clients
Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree
  • Prior FX / Securities Lending operations experience or global custody related background preferred but not essential
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities and meet various deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Display client service mindset
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to provide coverage during Hong Kong bank holidays
  • MS Office proficiency required
