The Company
A prestigious and highly regarded global investment firm is seeking a talented legal and corporate governance professional to join their dynamic legal division in HK. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-performing environment supporting diverse operations across the region.
Responsibilities
You will be instrumental in providing legal support, managing corporate governance responsibilities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your responsibilities will also include delivering corporate secretarial services and contributing to the establishment of regulated and unregulated entities across Asia, as the firm continues to expand its presence.
- Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to business units across Asia.
- Manage corporate governance frameworks, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
- Handle corporate secretarial duties, such as attending board and committee meetings, taking minutes, maintaining accurate records and preparing board resolutions.
- Assist with regulatory matters, particularly related to the firm's growing presence in mainland China.
- Support the formation and maintenance of regulated and unregulated entities across the region.
- Collaborate with senior business leaders, including C-suite executives, showcasing strong communication skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience in demanding and fast-paced environments, preferably with international firms.
- 10 - 15+ years of overall experience with a background in legal education is preferred but not mandatory; candidates with robust corporate governance expertise, such as corporate secretaries, will also be considered.
- Seasoned private practice paralegals, preferably from the corporate streams may be taken into account.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with senior executives and business leaders.
- Fluency in Chinese, including spoken Mandarin, is essential.
