We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences:
Part-time Lecturer [UG] (2025 Summer Term) (A&SS) (Ref: 25000KS)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointees will mainly be responsible for the course planning, development and delivery of the full-time face-to-face undergraduate programmes. Major duties include conducting lectures and tutorials, writing lecture notes, designing and marking of assignments/examination scripts and performing other related teaching and administrative duties.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence for the relevant course(s) are specified as follows:
Applicants should possess a higher degree, preferably an earned doctorate, in Sociology or a related discipline. They should have teaching/professional experience. Relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level would be an advantage.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
The candidate will be required to work during daytime on campus for the period from May 2025 to early September 2025 for a maximum of 17 hours per week.
