Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the scheduled overhaul, unscheduled maintenance activities and Capital & Revenue works for the components / equipment of passenger trains according to the maintenance manual, instructions and schedule
• Lead a team and work in accordance with the maintenance procedures, technical instructions and standards as well as environmental & safety regulations by performing regular technical & environmental audit and to monitor the maintenance work
• Monitor and review the material consumption and operating condition of maintenance tools & equipment to ensure availability of maintenance spare and tools & equipment
• Ensure work safety by organising the workplace, providing personal protective equipment in compliance with statutory regulation, and conducting regular inspection
• Support URL M-Trains, K-Trains, Q-Trains, C-Trains, & SIL S-Trains overhaul maintenance activities and provide technical and system support in C&R Works, budget and cost control and assist Maintenance Engineer to review and develop maintenance strategy
• Ensure quality output and be a key member of the Fault Investigation Team (FIT) to conduct fault investigation, identify root cause and propose remedial actions
• Initiate and implement shop-floor work improvement through participating in work process review
• Arrange on-the-job training to subordinates according to the competence requirements to perform maintenance tasks
• Supervise modification, testing/trials, contractor works and Safety Independent Checks according to the instructions and requirements in compliance with corporate standards to enhance service performance

Requirements 

• Higher Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level

Remarks 

• Candidates with extensive experience but lower qualification will also be considered
• Required to support failure investigation and perform on shift duties on irregular pattern of hours
