Responsibilities:

  • Work with diverse stakeholders to expand data science discipline into the business application spectrum, driving successful Data Science projects.
  • Undertake data-related projects, identifying appropriate business problems and developing feasible Data Science solutions, particularly in areas such as Claim Fraud-Waste-Abuse detection and Datamart development.
  • Initiate and lead innovative data science proof-of-concepts, leveraging cloud capability to develop cutting-edge data-driven AI models (e.g. ML, LLM/ Document Understanding)
  • Work closely with Data Science team members using Agile Scrum methodologies to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.
  • Develop robust predictive models, advanced model scripts, and statistical analyses to support data science & analytics initiatives on Machine learning and AI (LLM/ Document Understanding).
  • Manage BI solution development and implementation for various MI reporting (Power BI) and deliver actionable insights from the data visualization process, prioritizing a customer-centric approach
  • Provide support for business transition in data and cloud projects, driving awareness and learning across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant project experience in data science or analytics.
  • Pursuing a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Actuarial Science).
  • Familiarity with AI, predictive modeling, big data analysis, and data science methodologies (e.g., ChatGPT, LLM, Neural Networks).
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as PySpark, Python, R, and SQL.
  • Experience with cloud services (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS, Databricks) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Understanding of Agile Scrum frameworks; experience as a Scrum Master is an asset.
  • Previous exposure to or knowledge of the insurance industry is advantageous.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in English, with knowledge of Cantonese or Mandarin preferred.
