Job Description

Bradbury School is looking for a term-time full-time School Nurse (10.5 months contract). The nature of the role will generally involve the smooth operation of the medical room in order to provide professional, immediate and appropriate medical support to the students and the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to the needs of students reporting sick, prioritise and deal with them as appropriate, including carrying out appropriate First Aid care
• Making arrangements to send home/contacting parents/hospitalisation, where necessary
• Advising and educating patients on follow-up care, general health matters, immunization, etc. where appropriate
• Liaising with school staff on problems with students
• Responsible for maintaining the medical room in good condition by ordering and maintaining adequate medical supplies and keeping the room clean and sanitary
• Maintain accurate records of all visits to the Medical Room and report as appropriate
• Responsible for Accident Report Form completion where necessary
• Collate information for the Health Department’s Students Health Service when necessary
• Providing staff with First Aid kits for camps, excursions, and trips from the school's supply
• Other duties that are assigned by the SLT

Requirements

• Current or previously registered Nurse in Hong Kong or overseas
• Current 1st Aid and CPR certificate
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Good interpersonal skills
• High level of initiative
• Good communication skills
