The Data Specialist, Data and Analytics, is responsible for designing and implementing the organization's data infrastructure in compliance with the Authority’s data architecture governance principle.  This role focuses on ensuring efficient and reliable data processing, storage, and retrieval. Additionally, the position requires vendor management skills to effectively collaborate with external partners, as well as expertise in cloud solutions to utilise cloud-based technologies for data management.

You will be responsible for:

supporting the team manager in developing the Enterprise Data Analytics Platform, including the architecture of the data platform and the data warehouse, as well as managing data flows between components;

working on automating and optimizing technical processes to ensure efficiency and scalability in ELT/ETL pipelines and data platform management;

taking responsibility for building data protection-compliant end-to-end processes, from connecting data sources to creating process monitoring systems;

collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including IT and business units, to ensure the data infrastructure meets all business needs;

implementing best practices in DataOps, focusing on data integration, data quality and governance, data security, and data cataloging; and

staying updated on emerging technologies related to data integration and cloud solutions, and make recommendations for improvements and innovations.

You should:

possess a recognized university degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Big Data Analytics, or a related field;

have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing Enterprise Data Platforms, along with hands-on experience in data processing and modeling;

have demonstrate solid experience with the Azure cloud platform, including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Logic Apps, and Integration Services;

have knowledge of data governance practices, including data security, privacy, and compliance, is a plus;

familiarity with vendor management principles, including performance monitoring and issue resolution;

possess relevant certifications, such as Azure Data Engineer or AWS Cloud Data Engineer, are highly desirable;

have experience with data visualization/BI tools is preferred, and knowledge of AI/ML algorithms is an advantage;

be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese; and

have excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
