About The Role

BASF Venture Capital – We are the corporate venture capital company of the BASF Group. Since 2001, we have been investing worldwide in young, fast-growing companies and funds related to current and future businesses of BASF. With our investments we focus on the areas of chemistry, new materials, sustainability, digitalization, and new, disruptive business models. Through targeted interactions with BASF Group's global research, partner and customer network, we support our portfolio companies as an active venture capital investor.


How You Will Do It

• Collect data and analyze the VC/start-up ecosystem in Asia region beyond Greater China, with a focus on India, SEA and Japan
• To perform and generate desktop research and visual presentation
• Participate in discussions and meetings with start-up companies and consolidate findings
  
  
  

What We Look For

• Passionate about early-stage start-ups and technology advancements especially in topics like decarbonization, sustainable feedstock, biotechnology (in the context of benefiting chemical players), etc.
• Commitment to 4 to 6-month of internship (from 3 days a week or full-time) from June 2025
• Familiar with scouting skills, analytical thinking, VC ecosystem building with self-motivation
• Understanding of Asia region beyond Greater China, with a focus on India, SEA and Japan
• Student of Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Chemistry or related disciplines
