DESIGNATION : Mainframe Operator - HK

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide Level 1 technical support for mainframe and enterprise systems.
• Perform regular system health checks at 30-minute intervals, including:
  • CPU utilization
  • Memory usage
  • I/O performance
  • Response times
  • Batch job status
• Monitor system logs and alerts using standard monitoring tools.
• Identify and escalate incidents to Level 2/3 support teams following SOPs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and periodic reporting of system status and issues.
• Support batch job monitoring and perform basic troubleshooting where applicable.
• Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless operations and fast incident resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

• Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in IT operations or system support, experience in mainframe environments will be advantage
• Fresh graduates with relevant academic background and internship experience will be considered.
• Basic understanding of mainframe systems, batch processing, and system monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with system performance metrics (CPU, memory, I/O) is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow SOPs and escalation protocols accurately.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
