Job Overview

The Account Director will be responsible for driving the successful operation of one of our key strategic clients within the region where we provide end-to-end creative production services within print & digital and sourcing. It is critical the role has a strong influencing, negotiation and commercial acumen that is able to drive and sustain change while enabling best practice within the client team as well as with the dedicated Tag team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Fully manage and take ownership of the dedicated client within remit, including managing creative production services across all media channels, ensuring brand consistency and improved speed to market for both regional and global campaign initiatives.
  • Establish, develop and maintain long term relationships with key senior stakeholders within the client account and proactively develop new relationships across the account as appropriate.
  • Management of the client P&L – ensuring effective use of the yearly budget
  • Oversee direct reporting of Account/Project Managers, while working closely with a large on-site and off-site creative production resource base dedicated to the client account to ensure highest quality delivery to our clients
  • Undertake relationship building and communications at all levels within the Tag organization to identify opportunities to re-engineer processes and introduce added value services to the contract to maximize our client relationship
  • Ensure clear objectives are set and monitored for all members of the team, and act as a role model for all employees responsible for servicing the client operations
  • Define clear scope statements with user stories or acceptance criteria, with detail representative of the scale and size of problem, providing clarity to others and translating complex and strategic project requirements across multiple levels. Be willing and able to iterate and evolve design based on new and emerging information
  • Align discovery output with product and engineering to guide teams in responding to needs, promoting a collaborative and measurable approach to design
  • Develop and maintain a deep awareness of our products and systems and ensure that this awareness drives the discovery and design process


Requirements:

  • University Degree in Marketing/Communications, Media or Language/Linguistics or equivalent
  • 10+ years’ experience of project management/account handling within:

i) communications agency (ATL, BTL, TTL and/or interactive)

ii) a client marketing services department

iii) production facility or other relevant advertising industry supplier

iv) sourcing and POSM

  • Extensive experience as a team leader, managing teams across various locations and presenting self as a natural leader with ability to motivate Tag and client teams
  • Demonstrated record of successfully handling complex and multifaceted projects with many elements – possibly related to the adaptation and/or production of international communication materials
  • Track record of ability to deliver against operational and financial business targets with astute commercial and financial acumen
  • Ability to often work under pressure of tight turnaround times
  • Strong ability to build working relationships with clients and partner companies, often with minimal face-to-face contact
  • The candidate should have knowledge across various marketing mediums including digital (EDM, webpage, digital banners, etc.), print (press, outdoor, “coffee-table” books, etc.) video (2D animation, voiceover, etc.) and work in developing visual merchandising guidelines.
  • Understanding of print management and procurement or relevant experience is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within the retail industry, preferably with retail, FMCG experience
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (both written and verbal) is mandatory
  • Day-to-day work will require confident use of the standard Word, Excel, PowerPoint programmes.
  • Effective in a variety of formal presentation settings and very strong written and verbal communication skills via phone, Teams, email, face-to-face
