ABOUT THE ROLE

LOJEL is looking for an experienced Offshore Quality Lead to champion excellence in our luggage, handbag, and accessories production. Based in Hong Kong, but with regular travel to our factories in Indonesia and China, you'll build and lead a talented team of quality specialists, driving continuous improvement and ensuring our products meet the highest standards.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the quality lead in Indonesia, responsible for building, leading and coaching a local team of quality specialists.
  • Manage a team of quality specialists in Indonesia to effectively monitor daily production quality, conduct inline and final inspection, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective action plans (CAP) to address any quality issues.
  • Collaborate with the factory management to create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to quality control procedures, including material inspection, key production steps, inspection procedures, and pre-shipment inspections.
  • Oversee the execution of pre-production (PP) meetings, inline inspections, and final inspections with suppliers in Indonesia.
  • Provide coaching and training to the quality specialist team to continuously improve their skills and capabilities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and the factory, escalating quality issues and coordinating with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements.
  • Lead the assessment and evaluation of new factories to ensure they meet the company's quality standards and operational requirements, analyzing manufacturing techniques, quality control processes, and production capabilities.
  • Apply and support related sustainability initiatives;


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quality management or factory supervision in the luggage, handbag, garment, or a similar industry.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing quality assurance teams in offshore country.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures, manufacturing processes, and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in Mandarin Chinese and strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to mentor and develop a team of quality specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Possess a high level of integrity, strong problem-solving skills, and a results-oriented approach.
  • Flexible and adaptable to different situations, able to lead the team in driving quality initiatives.
  • Awareness and ability to apply ESG-related initiatives.
