Responsibilities:
- Plan and evaluate laboratory work, addressing procedural and technical challenges.
- Analyze process performance monitoring and regulatory compliance.
- Manage procurement of laboratory equipment, reagents, and consumables.
- Organize sampling and analysis schedules.
- Lead and coach laboratory staff, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- Report daily plant analysis and dysfunctions to the Operation Supervisor/Shift Technician.
- Develop and implement Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) programs, as well as Safety and Inspection Control practices.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is functioning correctly and complies with regulations.
- Oversee maintenance, calibration, and reliability of laboratory equipment.
- Validate analysis results and ensure proper documentation management.
- Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations for laboratory staff and ensure compliance with waste and chemical management regulations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in the plant’s Quality-Safety-Environment approach.
Requirements:
- Degree in analytical chemistry, microbiology, or equivalent (significant experience may be considered).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Laboratory Management within a plant environment.
- Knowledge of chemical analysis methods related to water and wastewater.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and safety practices.
- Strong leadership, organization, and commitment to quality and safety.
