Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct Type Approval Test on systems integrated with Octopus online payment, Octopus Readers/Writers and other related tests. Onsite testing required.
• Identify potential issue such as non-conformity with Type Approval requirements, negative customer experience, fraud, risk, integration challenges, performance inefficiencies, operational and security concerns and so on.
• Assist external developers on any development, integration and testing issues related to Octopus Readers.
• Participate in various quality assurance activities within the Quality team.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related disciplines
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in software testing or a related role. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply
• Hands-on experience in software testing in POS, kiosk, online payment systems, mobile apps, or frontend/embedded systems, etc.
• Strong technical knowledge and skill to identify issue, analysis the root causes, and evaluate the impact
• Proactive with strong sense of responsibility, capable of effective planning, preparation, observation, analysis, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and risk assessment.
• Understand perspectives of different stakeholders with effective communication skills in verbal and written English and Chinese
• A team player who can also work independently under pressure; self-motivated, quick to learn, and detail-oriented.
• This is a 1-year contract position.

Preferred Qualifications (an advantage but not required):

• Knowledge of contactless smartcard, AFC and/or payment systems 
• Experience in software development in POS, kiosk, payment systems, frontend/embedded systems, mobile apps or payment solutions.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 20000, ISO/IEC27001, and relevant quality and security standards
• Understanding of Stored Value Facility (SVF) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) guidelines for SVF licensees.
