About the Role

Lead AIAHK’s IHS Tribe to achieve its business goals by defining key priorities and deliverables, driving execution of key initiatives across cross-functional teams, and managing the central delivery team to ensure collaboration across the company’s resources and effective programme governance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Shape the direction of AIAHK’s IHS programme and drive delivery to achieve its mission and financial and customer objectives

  • Mobilise the central delivery team and all cross-functional teams around the mission of delivering more accessible, affordable and effective healthcare
  • Be accountable for the delivery of the programme’s financial objectives including growing Health VONB, increasing provision profits, and reducing medical loss ratio
  • Develop and sustain a market leading health customer experience via end-to-end integrated care journeys
  • Lead cross-functional teams to plan and execute priorities in a timely manner, as well as facilitate collaboration between the central delivery team and the rest of the organisation
  • Actively drive the overall strategic planning and evolution of the IHS programme over time

Orchestrate Tribe activity and steer its daily operations

  • Define the Tribe’s direction and priorities with regular syndication and steering with IHS Sponsor and relevant Exco stakeholders
  • Ensure cohesion of priorities and deliverables across cross-functional teams
  • Conduct business planning for the Tribe and set clear goals and roadmaps for the programme in each quarter
  • Drive the regular review process including managing expectations of various stakeholders including senior management
  • Manage the Tribe budget, composition, and headcount

Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver on the prioritized initiatives

  • Collaborate with and influence business, technology and other functional owners and stakeholders of each prioritized initiative in the roadmap to drive effective and timely execution
  • Establish effective operating model and resource allocation to enable initiative execution

Lead IHS capabilities development across the organisation

  • Ensure necessary capabilities are in place within the Tribe, including healthcare and analytical expertise (through recruitment, development, or resource augmentation as appropriate)
  • Create a non-hierarchical atmosphere of confidence and trust to motivate and empower team members to fulfill the Tribe’s tasks effectively
  • Conduct regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews for Tribe members
  • Collaborate with HR Training & Development to elevate IHS knowledge and capabilities across the broader organisation

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University degree with over 10 years working experience in life and health insurance and/or healthcare-related industry
  • Industry knowledge of insurance and healthcare required
  • Strong business acumen and results orientation, with proven track record in attaining business results
  • Strong strategic mindset, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Be adaptable, willing and able to interact and build strong relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds; be open-minded to develop and adopt new, innovative ways of working
  • Experience in leading diverse, cross-functional teams highly preferable
