Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in thermal imaging, semiconductor sensors and their characterization, optics, and algorithm development and implementation. The role involves conducting research and development to improve thermal image quality and radiometric accuracy, obtain actionable insights from thermal data, and enable the successful integration of the sensor in various smart systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Characterize thermal imaging sensors, including optical and radiometric properties.
- Conduct reliability assessments, including monitoring drift in radiometric accuracy.
- Research and develop algorithms for correction or compensation of errors in remote temperature sensing.
- Python programming, including physical and data/AI modelling.
- Interface with the process development and manufacturing teams to understand the limitations and leverage the advantages of the sensor, and to provide feedback for its improvement.
- Research and develop algorithms to enable the application of thermal imaging sensors in smart appliances, homes, and city infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience with thermal imaging sensors or other electro-optical systems.
- Proficiency in Python programming and experience with physical and data/AI modelling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in developing algorithms for smart technology.
