Assistant Vice President, Product Management (Card Portfolio Management – PayAll) is an intermediate level position responsible for the development of product plans, strategies and tactics in coordination with the Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position.

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Conceptualize and launch innovative programs/marketing campaigns. Monitor and review performance to continuously improve on KPIs.
  • Analyze market trend and gather market intelligence including relevant customer, competitor, industry and data insights to identify trends, threats, and opportunities to help refine product strategies
  • Participate in day-to-day product management for core products such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies as well as help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results
  • Execute client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on campaign development and execution 
  • Lead end-to-end project management of technology enhancements, including requirements gathering, sprint planning, UAT, and post-launch optimization
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams, business, and senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities and timelines and business goals.
  • Track and report on project milestones, risks, timeline to stakeholders
  • Monitor KPIs (sales, revenue, usage, customer satisfaction), analyze trends in performance and execute strategies to meet target
  • Build financial models to forecast revenue, costs, profitability for new product enhancements.
  • Perform deep-dive financial analysis to help refine pricing strategies and improve margin
  • Contribute to achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps business plans
  • Implement team procedures, client problem resolution, and client management
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Relevant experience managing complex tech projects (Agile/scrum methodologies, Jira/Confluence tools)
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders at all levels (e.g. reporting progress upward to executives, motivating downward with project teams)
  • Knowledge of marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, and/or analytics
  • Strong financial acumen with proven ability to manage P&L
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Customer oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail
  • Strong business acumen and analytical ability, demonstrating flexibility when addressing shifting or competing priorities
  • Strong in English and Chinese writing and speaking

Candidate with less experience will also be considered for Officer, Product Management Analyst role.
