Multimedia Technology Manager / Systems Analyst
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Designing, developing, testing, and deploying AI-driven systems for enhancing teaching and learning, such as AI marking, face recognition, and AI presentation mentoring.
- Administering, maintaining, and enhancing existing systems.
- Enhancing multimedia components and implementing interactive activities/components for courses to support AI-driven learning experiences.
- Providing technical support to end-users, particularly in the context of AI tools and applications.
- Undertaking other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Advancement of Learning and Teaching and his/her nominees.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience, and competence:
- A recognized bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in programming and web systems design, focusing on AI applications. Those with less experience may be considered for the post of Analyst Programmer.
- Hands-on experience with AI, LLMs, Machine Learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI SDK).
- Solid experience in web development (Node.js, Python, PHP) and frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI, Nuxt.js, Next.js, Nest.js, Laravel)
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (React, Vue, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, JSON).
- Knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
- Experience in mobile app development (React Native, Flutter) is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate institutional needs into technical solutions.
- A good command of English.
Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
