Salary: HK$11,200 per month

Entry Requirements: Applicants should –
(a) be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region;
(b) be post-secondary students pursuing a full-time Bachelor’s degree, preferably in subjects in relation to business administration or economics;
(c) be proceeding to the second/third or final year of study in 2025/26;
(d) have good communication skills and multi-tasking skills;
(e) have good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (with Level 4 in both Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or equivalent); and
(f) be proficient in Chinese Word processing and the application of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Duties: Successful candidates will –
(a) assist in supporting events, duty trips, publicity projects, and/or researches in relation to the Belt and Road Initiative; and
(b) to perform any other duties as assigned.

Terms of Appointment: The employment period will commence from June or July 2025 and last for about two months. Interns are normally required to work 44 hours per week. The actual hours of work may vary depending on the operational needs. Overtime work, if necessary, will be compensated by time-off in lieu.

Fringe Benefits Interns are eligible for rest days, statutory holidays, general holidays and sickness days. They are subject to the Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme Ordinance (Cap.485).

How to apply: Students studying in local post-secondary institutions (including those who are currently participating in exchange programmes at tertiary institutions outside Hong Kong) should apply through the Student Affairs Offices/Career Centres of their respective institutions. They are advised to note the deadlines set by the respective institutions. (Direct applications from students are not accepted.)

Students studying in non-local post-secondary institutions should download the application form from the Civil Service Bureau's website
(https://www.csb.gov.hk/english/admin/appoint/782.html). Completed application form together with resume, copies of academic transcripts and certificates of HKDSEE or equivalent should reach the contact address specified below by post on or before 25 April 2025 (according to the postmark). Applicants should clearly mark “Application for Post-Secondary Student Summer Internship Programme (Belt and Road Office)” on the envelope. Applications which are incomplete, not accompanied by the required documents or late will not be considered.

Applicants should ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage is affixed before posting so as to avoid unsuccessful delivery of application. Any underpaid mail items will be returned or disposed of by the Hongkong Post.

Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation by email in about three to four weeks from the closing date for application. The interview is expected to be conducted in May 2025 in Hong Kong. Candidates who are not invited for invitation may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
