Role Introduction
Reports to: Digital and IT Planning Manager
Department: IMT - Information Technology
This is accountable and responsible for planning, continuous productivity improvement and provide analytical insights across digital and IT department.
Key Responsibilities
General:
- Own and prepare digital and IT performance updates and provide analytical insights to senior management
- Accountable for resolving barriers and conflicts (resource, timing, financial, sequencing) between multiple projects and project teams.
- Lead organizational and departmental performance improvement activities
- Develop and manage budget for areas of responsibility
- Drive continuous productivity improvement through automating and streamlining processes
- Develop and share with fellow team members capability to provide in-depth analysis and business insight
- Collaborate with Infra Managers, Application Managers, Digital Managers, Project Managers and Performance Managers to facilitate management reporting in relation to department cost/resourcing and analytics
Digital and IT Financial Management :
- Drive to manage the enterprise level view of department cost and trend
- Plan and accountable for departmental budget and forecast processes in different type of digital and IT projects and IT operations
- Monitor and keep track of cost performance for digital and IT Enhancement Projects
- Support development of Service agreements with subsidiaries and review Terms and Conditions.
(Senior digital and IT Planning Analyst) Digital and IT Financial Management :
- Own the accountability to manage the overall DGT and IT Departmental Budget
- Provide enterprise level view of digital and IT department cost and trend
- Support development of Service agreements with subsidiaries and review Terms and Conditions.
- Lead and provide guidance and mentoring to Digital and IT Planning Analysts and Specialists.
- Act as subject matter expert to contribute to other initiatives
- Provide impact assessment on BAU cost brought by implemented projects
Digital and IT Resourcing Management :
- Manage the enterprise level view of department resource consumption and trend
- Manage the enterprise level view of department space management
- Support all the Vendor Invoicing Processes
- Support the Onboarding and Off Boarding Process for all the DGT and IT Contractor Resources
- Support the DGT/ IT Contractor hiring request from Resource Request to Hired
(Senior Digital and IT Planning Analyst) Digital and IT Project Governance:
- Responsible for managing a portfolio/program of Digital and IT projects across the enterprise
- Define, manage and support IT Governance Forum.
- Ensure the project management team follows standards and methodology for portfolio and project management, from intake to estimation to execution and delivery to closure.
- Support in the creation and maintenance of the governance process and guidelines for digital and IT initiatives
- Quickly and effectively understand business strategies, challenges and priorities while collaborating with business leaders to identify and plan initiatives to translate these into programs/projects with tactical goals and objectives that are measurable
- Act as an escalation point and oversee audits & reviews of portfolio, program, and project execution to ensure compliance to agreed standards
- Lead, coach and mentor assigned direct reports including Program/Project Manager(s) and Project Specialist(s).
- Responsible for managing Project Cost Transition from Project to BAU.
- Drive to lead and provide guidance and mentoring to Digital and IT Planning Analysts and Specialists
Requirements
- University Degree in analytical discipline – such as Computer Science, Information Systems or Accounting related disciplines
- For Senior IT Planning Analyst, Minimum 6 years of working experience with at least recent 4 years in related position.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good business acumen, with demonstrable competency in business planning, cost/resource management and strategy implementer.
- Good numerical skills, ability to derive and understand the stories behind numbers and be able to drive improvement. Project accounting experience is preferred.
- Good interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
- Good communications abilities and relationship management skills
