The Department

The Equestrian Affairs Department aims to fulfil the Club’s vision to promote riding as a sport and raise participation at all levels, from beginner through to elite. It oversees the management of four equestrian centres, including the Member’s facility at the Beas River Country Club and three public riding schools at Tuen Mun, Pokfulam and Lei Yue Mun Park.

The post holder reports directly to Senior Manager, Operations (Public Riding School).  In collaboration with the Senior Riding Instructor, he / she is responsible for managing effectively and overseeing the smooth running of the riding school.

The Job

You Will: 

  • Oversee the routine operations of the riding school and ensure the best use of available resources.
  • Discuss with other school-in-charges to develop operation and service standard procedures and guidelines.
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of customers and respond in an appropriate manner.
  • Keep a good communication line with the customers and discuss with the team for an effective solution to customer’s problems.
  • Supervise administration team and stable staffs on day-to-day operations, including conducting regular staff meetings and handling staff matters.
  • Consolidate and check staff rosters, allowance, and prepare travel or training reimbursements, in compliance with the Club’s policies.
  • Co-ordinate with equestrian coaches for efficient arrangement and management of riding lessons to maximise variety and income, and taking the horse welfare into account.
  • Co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders on various matters to ensure the smooth operations of the riding school.
  • Provide support to promote equestrian activities; Prepare notices and other publications for riders and manage administrative documents required in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and report school budget forecast and conduct variance analysis.
  • Observe Occupational Safety and Health Policy, offering relevant training to all staff to ensure a safe workplace.

About You

You Should Have:

  • Educational level of tertiary education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in operations, administration and/or secretarial support, preferably in sizable organizations.
  • Fluent language proficiency in Chinese and English; Communication skillsets in Putonghua would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, Chinese and English typing.
  • Experience with team leadership skills and able to work independently
  • Good coordination skills with external and internal parties.
  • Detail-oriented; Effective at problem solving with analytical power, and capable of multi-task and perform rational decision making.

Terms of Employment
