Client Details

Our client is looking for an Operational Risk Officer / Associate - Large Chinese Bank , who plays a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the operational risk landscape of the bank.

Description

  • Develop and implement comprehensive operational risk management frameworks tailored to the bank's specific needs
  • Implement and adhere to the bank's Supervisory Policy Manual (SPM) to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Review the policy and procedure of banks from the operational risk perspective, being familiar with the HKMA SPMs in particular SA-2, IC-5, OR-1, OR-2, TM-G-1, TM-G-2, TM-E-1.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard the bank's operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective integration of risk management practices into all business processes
  • Monitor key risk indicators and performance metrics to proactively identify emerging risks and trends

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in operational risk management within the banking industry
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices related to operational risk management
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing risk frameworks and adhering to Supervisory Policy Manual (SPM) practices
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and make informed decisions
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
