Our client is looking for an Operational Risk Officer / Associate - Large Chinese Bank , who plays a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the operational risk landscape of the bank.
Description
Develop and implement comprehensive operational risk management frameworks tailored to the bank's specific needs
Implement and adhere to the bank's Supervisory Policy Manual (SPM) to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness
Review the policy and procedure of banks from the operational risk perspective, being familiar with the HKMA SPMs in particular SA-2, IC-5, OR-1, OR-2, TM-G-1, TM-G-2, TM-E-1.
Conduct risk assessments, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard the bank's operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective integration of risk management practices into all business processes
Monitor key risk indicators and performance metrics to proactively identify emerging risks and trends
Profile
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA) preferred
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in operational risk management within the banking industry
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices related to operational risk management
Proven track record in developing and implementing risk frameworks and adhering to Supervisory Policy Manual (SPM) practices
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and make informed decisions
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
