About the Role

•Oversee Finance Operations in respect of Treasury Operations and Liquidity Management.

•Lead the routine and corporate strategic driven liquidity risk assessment and assurance of liquidity adequacy in collaboration with key local and Group level stakeholders.

•Manage operational risk and drive for proper governance, enforcement of control and process efficiency in Treasury Operation and Liquidity Management.

•Support the routine and ad hoc Treasury related reporting activities & liquidity position as driven by insurance business.

•Act as an all-rounded leader in accountability of team performance in support of Treasury functions and deliver coaching to the reporting manager & insight to management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The candidate will lead and participate the following business support duties under Finance Operations:

  • Lead & provide hands-on support on the cash flow projection in Treasury Operations, ensure adequate liquidity funding source is available for operational payments and routine monitoring on actual liquidity fluctuation against projection is properly accounted for.
  • Proactively participate in the groundwork and act as key SME to transform the traditional Treasury Operations to a modernized process through digitized support, automation, data-driven strategy for enhanced liquidity planning and mitigating risk.
  • Support the routine liquidity/sensitivity assessment exercise e.g. Structural Liquidity Adequacy Ratio calculation & analysis under stress scenarios for capital or investment related corporate strategic initiative.
  • Oversee the regular internal & regulatory required reporting exercise for liquidity assessment & position analysis e.g., the annual strategic plan for cash flow projection and liquidity budgeting, ORSA reporting on liquidity assessment etc.
  • Supervise the regular update of Liquidity Management and Contingency Plan for monitoring of daily/structural liquidity position and ensure adequate funding available for operational requirements.
  • Act as quality assurance performer in the establishing of treatment, ongoing monitoring, reviewing of the liquidity position & proper accountability for the fluctuation and impact from cash flow projection methodology change.
  • Work in joint-force with Treasury Managers as required, organize team resources and negotiate under stretched timeline with key stakeholders in compliance with governance and company standard.
  • Provide support to Treasury Operations on credit risk review for various company strategic initiatives from treasury perspective.
  • Assist in ad hoc assignments including gap analysis & process integration and support process automation, streamlining and outsourcing tasks initiatives & coordination.
  • Lead and develop staff in order to enhance employee competencies, engagement, performance and accountability.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University graduate majoring in accounting or related disciplines
  • Member of HKICPA or equivalent professional accountancy bodies
  • Minimum 8 years’ work experience in accounting of which at least 3 years at supervisory level
  • Work experience in insurance company is an advantage.
  • 3 years or above audit experience in professional firm is an advantage.
  • Independent, self-motivated with sound reporting writing skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Good negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent team management skills
  • Strong risk awareness
