Innovation and Technology for Ageing (ITA)

The ITA team of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service works to contribute towards a better and more respectable life by adopting gerontechnology in social service and the community. The ITA promotes cross-disciplinary collaboration and co-creation in driving technology development and application, intending to enhance the well-being, quality of life, independence and self-reliance of the elderly, caregivers and healthcare staff.

Officer (Ref No: HKCSS/024/2025)
Two-year contract

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and implementation of work related to the project operations, such as coordinating with funders and partners, assisting in the project plan and project evaluation, overall administrative and financial management
  • Plan and manage logistic support for seminars, workshops, meetings, exhibitions and events
  • Design and manage the development of the summit programme, including all logistical arrangement
  • Curate thematic pavilions in collaboration with contractors, ensuring effective construction and design
  • Handle all public relations tasks, promoting the event and engaging with the media
  • Lead the development of the enrolment system and website, ensuring a seamless user experience
  • Carry out other duties deemed pertinent to achieving the team's goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Event Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in event planning and management, particularly in exhibitions or summits.
  • Proficient in using digital tools for project management and website development.
  • Experience in public relations or marketing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Chinese Word Processing;
  • Proactive manner and a strong sense of responsibility;
  • Creative, multi-tasking and self-motivated;
  • Excellent organisation, communication, negotiation, analytical and writing skills;
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure

 

5-day work per week. 21-day annual leave.
