THE HONG KONG COUNCIL OF SOCIAL SERVICE
Innovation and Technology for Ageing (ITA)

The ITA team of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service works to contribute towards a better and more respectable life by adopting gerontechnology in social service and the community. The ITA promotes cross-disciplinary collaboration and co-creation in driving technology development and application, intending to enhance the well-being, quality of life, independence and self-reliance of the elderly, caregivers and healthcare staff.

Officer (Ref No: HKCSS/026/2025)
One-year renewable contract

Responsibilities

  • To assist in planning and implementation of work related to the project operations, such as coordinating with funders and partners, assisting in the project plan and project evaluation, overall administrative and financial management;
  • To identify and assess the needs of the community and to develop, plan for, implement and evaluate funded programmes on technology adoption by social service providers and communities in need;
  • To foster gerontechnology development in Hong Kong;
  • To plan and oversee logistic support for seminars, workshops, meetings, exhibitions and events;
  • To carry out other duties deemed pertinent to achieving the team's goals.

Requirements

  • Degree holder in the disciplines of Social Work, Social Sciences, Rehabilitation Sciences, Technology / Engineering, Business or relevant subjects;
  • Experience in project management is preferable;
  • Passionate in making a positive impact and advancing societal well-being;
  • Proactive, independent, detail-minded, multi-tasking, strong personal drive and sense of responsibility and excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), web-based applications, and social media;
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure.

5-day work per week. 21-day annual leave.
