The Department

The Wagering Products (WP) Division is responsible for driving the wagering business strategy and results for the Club through the wagering products of Horse Racing (Local and Overseas), Football, Mark Six lottery and International Commingling with the aim to drive wagering turnover and revenue growth in a socially responsible and sustainable manner.

Reporting to the Trading and Player Risk Team Lead, the Business Intelligence Analyst will play a key role in optimizing the Football Wagering Department’s product development while leveraging data to inform strategic decisions and improve operational efficiency. This involves compiling, documenting, reviewing, and analyzing user requirements to support the development and enhancement of wagering platforms and products.

The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly defined and actionable, while remaining aligned with broader business objectives. You will also identify and evaluate potential changes, effectively communicate these to stakeholders, and secure their buy-in for implementation.

In addition, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analyses of multi-sports wagering products, customer behaviors, and market trends. By utilizing business intelligence tools and techniques, such as dashboards, reports, and visualizations, you will support data-driven decision-making. Findings will be presented to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, with actionable recommendations to enhance product performance and drive growth.

The Job

You will

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business and user requirements for multi-sports wagering products, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and product strategies
  • Translate business requirements into actionable technical deliverables within Trading and Player Risk team and various related parties, such as IT and/or marketing team
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of multi-sports wagering products, including their performance, user engagement, and market trends, to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
  • Work closely with stakeholders, development teams and vendors to define product specifications and deliverables, ensuring requirements are fully actionable and aligned with end-user needs
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of data-driven features within multi-sports wagering products by providing actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis
  • Monitor product performance metrics, such as user engagement, conversion rates, and turnover, and recommend strategies to improve product adoption and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize product-related initiatives, manage changes in requirements, and ensure timely delivery of enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club’s business
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by line manager

About You

You should have

  • University degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ of relevant experience in system business analyst and project management
  • Hands-on experience in Agile and Scrum Methodologies, user stories, acceptance criteria writing, sprint planning experience, etc
  • Demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and business stakeholders, to define and deliver solutions
  • Hands-on experience in collecting functional and non-functional requirements from various levels of users
  • Familiar with system development life cycle, change management and project management activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize product-related initiatives, manage changes in requirements, and ensure timely delivery of enhancements
  • Dynamic team player with a strong sense of ownership and drive
  • The ability to adapt quickly and absorb domain knowledge
  • An eagerness to propose fresh ideas, pragmatic, solution driven approach. Highly motivated and team oriented. Strong drive to success and ability to structure necessary changes
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business objectives into technical requirements and insights
  • A track record of successfully implementing data-driven solutions and improving product performance through actionable insights
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Effective negotiating, time-management and written & spoken communication skills in English with ability to present ideas in a professional manner
