You will be responsible for:

  • supporting the Strategic Partnerships and Events team under the Business Development Department, to manage venue hiring, external filming and advertising business operations of the Public Open Space and Special Venues;
  • supervising the team and manage day-to-day administration and reporting of the cross-departmental Venue Hiring Committee;
  • managing the entire venue hiring and advertising sales process, including enquiry and site visit handling, proposal, licence agreement and invoice preparation, VEM system application, event management, post-event follow up;
  • communicating and working closely with external business partners and internal departments to ensure smooth delivery of all planned and ad-hoc events;
  • preparing presentation documents and/or reports as requested;
  • creating social media content to promote planned events and happenings;
  • conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify potential sales and new business;
  • managing the team to provide a wide range of administrative support to the team in a timely manner to ensure the smooth running of business operations;
  • maintaining and building good relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders; and
  • performing ad hoc and special projects as requested.


You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree in marketing and communication or related disciplines;
  • have a minimum 5 years of relevant experience in event management, marketing/communication, and/or sales/partnerships management;
  • preferably have practical administrative experience in contracting or tendering process;
  • be proficient in MS Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Words and with a preference for experience in other computer applications as well, e.g. Photoshop and ERP;
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Mandarin;
  • possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimum supervision; and
  • be a detail oriented, committed team player with good communication and presentation skills.
