The Role

We’re looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to join Memora’s team and shape the future of personal productivity together. As one of our first hires, you’ll play a foundational role, turning our vision into intuitive designs that ignite users to capture ideas and hold fast to inspiration. Working closely with our founder and developer, you’ll have the opportunity to own the end-to-end design journey—from sketches and prototypes to a cohesive design system across our app, website, and beyond. Beyond your skills, we need someone relentlessly curious that is always eager to step outside their comfort zone, wear multiple hats outside their ‘job description’, and eager to tackle new challenges. This calls for an all-in mindset, fearless, ready to weather storms with us, and one day we’ll look back knowing this was the start of our journey together.

Memora is a pre-seed personal productivity startup with a mission to tackle the challenges of memory in our busy lives. Our app allows users to capture their thoughts easily without ever having the anxiety of potentially forgetting about it and actually acting on the task. Key Responsibilities:

• The primary responsibility will be to translate Memora product ideas into high quality designs (e.g. on Figma).
• Take full responsibility to manage the UI and UX of Memora app
• Working closely with the founder to translate ideas into high quality designs, and communicate with our developer to make sure design is feasible to implement
• Produce & establish sketches, flowcharts, wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, decks and engaging design solutions
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive design system across Memora products (app, website, emails, etc.)
• Develop pixel perfect UI and adjust design layouts based on user feedback
• Participate in research, concept ideation, user interface design and conduct usability test
• Identify design problems and devise elegant human-centered solutions
• Communicate with business users to analyze and clarify user requirements, and offer solutions to UI/UX problems
• Strong creative design energy, with effective stakeholder management skills, able to motivate the team
• Design for our main website (memoraapp.com)
• Other ad-hoc project assignments (e.g. social post image designs)

Requirements :

• Preferably of 1 year relevant experience as a UX/UI design or similar roles but if you think you have what it takes to take on a role that you know you will ace. Don’t be afraid to apply.
• Proven work portfolio with UI/UX experience in mobile app project is highly preferred
• Good knowledge with practical experience in tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Zeplin, Adobe Creative Suite; Software like Photoshop, Canva, HTML5, CSS 3, Adobe Illustrator
• Conversant with cross-browser, as well as native and cross-platform mobile design best practice
• Knowledge in latest mobile app trends, web standards, HTML and CSS is a plus
• Familiar with UX design principles and methodologies, such as user journey, user flow, screen flow design, etc.

We don’t expect you to possess every requirement listed above, but your core abilities should enable you to deliver high-quality work. You’ll own your domain with full autonomy, driving decisions from the start with minimal guidance. Expect to lead the process, not follow. If you think you lack experience in a specific area, we’re all about the mindset to learn and improve rather than on paper abilities. Our Hiring Process

Successful candidates will be invited via email to a first round interview.

First round interview will consist two back-to-back interviews:

• One 30-minutes one-to-one CV/technical interview
• One 30-minutes one-to-one behavioural interview

Final round interview:

• 30-minutes to 1 hour in-person interview
