Position: Vice President / Director, Institutional & Intermediary Business, Asia Ex Japan.

Client: An International Asset Management Company with strong presence in Asia

Location: Hong Kong Office

Structure: Report to Managing Director, Asia Head of Business Development. Flat organisational structure, collaborative and agile work environment.


Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Drive asset management growth in the Asia Pacific region (excluding Japan), focusing on Greater China, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea etc., covering various asset management strategies including equity (passive, value, and active).
  • Client Support: Assist the Managing Director in delivering exceptional client services for institutional and / or intermediary businesses.
  • Client Reporting: Support the Managing Director in managing the client reporting process effectively.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing distributors in the intermediary business, ensuring comprehensive product offerings.
  • Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with other offices, coordinating internal and external resources to meet clients’ investment needs.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the investment management industry in a business development role, with a focus on institutional clients or intermediary channels are both welcome.
  • Client coverage in Greater China, or Asia region are both welcome. Prior Korean market experience will be a big advantage.
  • Intermediary Experience: Experience in intermediary business is a plus.
  • Equity Knowledge: Strong understanding of equity funds.
  • Licensing: SFC Licensed Responsible Officer (RO) is highly preferred.


Skills:

  • Self-motivated and responsible, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, networking, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, eVestment, and MandateWire.


Personal Attributes: Proactive, mature, and outgoing.

Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Mandarin.
