Job Description

What you'll do:   

• Develop and implement strategic plan for the AI & Innovation Lab Unit to grow and lead. Meet all financial and non-financial KPIs
• Build and grow Division’s AI & Innovation Lab (S.A.I.L), by providing a sandbox / test bed / PoC environment for leading innovative technologies / universities from Hong Kong and beyond to establish themselves in Hong Kong and for government / commercial / SME clients to “see and use to believe”, in application areas such as governance, banking, finance etc.
• Help SME grow by owning and transforming the HKPC Digital DIY platform, building impactful digital ecosystem, and extending the service offering to financing / fintech areas
• Establish industrial networking and pursue strong collaboration with government departments, technological partners, industry players, and professional bodies in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and globally
• Collaborate with other business units to fully utilize the Lab. Operationalize and commercialize the S.A.I.L platform. Grow the Unit’s training services
• Lead the team by attracting top talent and continuously enhancing team members' technical and soft skills. Create opportunities for new challenges and responsibilities, fostering a collaborative and learning environment
• Support and execute any other ad-hoc responsibilities as required by the organization

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant technology field such as Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Material Science
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience. Relevant experience in AI and/or banking / finance / fintech is preferred
• Proven track record of launching new businesses, technologies or services to enable clients to adopt new technology and services.
• Strong commitment to financial target and KPIs. Result oriented, self-initiated and able to work under pressure
• Good interpersonal, project management, presentation and communication skills, and shall be a team player and project leader
• Good command of English and Chinese

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
