Responsibilities

  • Recommend IT infrastructure strategies, computer policies, and planning, directing, coordinating and controlling the delivery of IT infrastructure and operations services.
  • Ensure IT infrastructure and operations related projects are delivered on time and relevant controls are performed accurately and properly according to the Bank’s standard procedures.
  • Assist supervisor to manage and lead the subordinates to complete daily operations and developing team members to escalate along the career ladder.
  • Build, track and forecast financial plans for the preparation and monitoring of IT Infrastructure and Operations the department budget; and
  • Provide comprehensive financial information, analysis and reporting to monitor and evaluate the application of financial resources.
  • Optimize operational costs through continuous evaluation of service contracts, vendor agreements, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure the delivery of stable system performance and high performing IT technical services Provide IT technical services to internal and external stakeholders. business units and various IT teams by ensuring system performance and stability; and
  • Provide recommendations for corrections or improvements to resolve any identified issues that affect system performance or normal functionalities.
  • Maintain service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve the performance of IT operations
  • Act as the key escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand their requirements and translate them into infrastructure solutions that support business goals.
  • Establish and maintain strategic plans, computer policies and proposals on IT infrastructure in line with the Bank’s business strategy;
  • Manage IT infrastructure to deliver services in accordance with the service levels;
  • Manage computer equipment procurement functions;
  • Evaluate and recommend new infrastructure and operations solutions and technologies that meet current and future business requirements;
  • Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives, such as cloud adoption, hybrid environments, and digital transformation projects.
  • Conduct regular reviews  of current processes, design and configuration to ensure adherence to industry best practices;
  • Drive the implementation of best practices in IT operations and to ensure continuous improvement of operational processes through automation, monitoring, and analytics.
  • Attend industry-related forums and working group meetings as required;
  • Manage disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP) to ensure the bank’s resilience in the event of disruptions.
  • Perform project management functions and assist in the administration of the department; and
  • Assist in enforcing various departmental standards and policies.
  • Lead, plan and manage the work of subordinates, including business as usual tasks;
  • Monitor the service quality of the team and ensure strict compliance with the standard regulatory requirement;
  • Dedicate efforts to talent cultivation and development.
  • Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity; and
  • Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements

  • University graduate in Computer Science or equivalent; OR
  • Minimum 20 years’ working experience in IT covering the followings:
  • At least 8 years in an IT management role for IT infrastructure and operations, preferable in the banking sector;
  • Knowledgeable in IT infrastructure and operations services, including but not limited to Cloud Platform, Network, Endpoint, Database, Middleware, and Virtualization;
  • Solid experience in ITIL;
  • Excellent project management skills with proven experiences in managing IT infrastructure projects and met deliverables;
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation;
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate effectively;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is preferable.
