Responsibilities
- Serve as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)
- Provide strategic direction on managing AML and CFT risk, and ensure to properly identify and monitor AML/CFT risk
- Ensure compliance policies and procedures to be formulated and executed in line with regulatory expectations in relation to AML and CFT
- Prepare annual compliance programme and oversee execution related to AML/CFT including ML reporting
- Ensure effective transaction monitoring and sanctions alert management
- Ensure effective programme devised for Common Reporting Standards and FATCA matters, taking into account of the business nature and clientele of the bank
- Act as second line of defense and provide constructive challenge to the bank in relation to all matters in relation to AML and CFT
- Act as a central escalation point for reporting suspicious transactions (STR) and the main point of contact with the Joint Financial Intelligence Unit (JFIU) and law enforcement agencies
- Review internal disclosures and exception reports, ensure timely investigation and reporting of STRs, maintain all the records related to such internal reviews
- Keep track of regulatory updates and ensure timely and effective communication with relevant stakeholders in relation to AML and CFT, closely work with relevant stakeholders to ensure that appropriate and effective AML and CFT controls and surveillance reportings
- Back up other team members to cover AML/CFT risks
Requirements
- Bachelor degree holder or above, CAMS preferred
- Over 10 years' related work experience, including at least 5 years at management level
- Solid compliance experience in authorized institutions, in particular on retail banking AML/CFT
- Solid experience in managing regulatory relationship
- Team players with strong communication skills
- Solid analytical, organized and possess decision making skills
- Attention to details
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
