Job description
The Assistant Manager of Database Management oversees the full lifecycle of visitor data for the company’s exhibitions. The role ensures data accuracy, system stability, reporting efficiency, and compliance with internal and external standards. This position requiring strong continuity planning, documentation discipline, and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities:
1. Database Management & Maintenance
- Oversee daily operations of CRM/SCRM databases used for visitor and buyer records.
- Maintain data integrity through regular audits, deduplication, and validation processes.
- Manage database structure, user access, and permission settings.
- Coordinate with IT vendors for system upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Identify opportunities for digital transformation and workflow automation.
2. Data Quality, Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with worldwide privacy regulations and internal data policies.
- Monitor data accuracy across multiple sources.
3. Reporting & Analytics
- Generate regular dashboards and reports for management and marketing teams.
- Provide insights on buyer segmentation, campaign performance, and event KPIs.
- Support forecasting and business planning with reliable data models.
4. Cross‑Department Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing to support promotion data needs.
- Coordinate with internal IT department and external IT vendors and digital platform providers.
- Provide training and guidance to internal users on CRM/SCRM best practices.
- Work with Hong Kong and Mainland China team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in database administration, CRM/SCRM operations, or data management.
- Experience in exhibitions, events, or B2B marketing is an advantage.
- Proficiency in CRM/SCRM platforms.
- Strong command of SQL/Python and database management concepts.
- Familiarity with AI tools regarding data management is a plus.
- Numerate, detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Occasional business trip to Mainland China for onsite exhibition support.
