The Data Engineer is the custodian of data integrity for our global enterprise data warehouse. You will define data standards for the global sourcing lifecycle, oversee data quality across distributed systems, and translate retail business requirements into technical metadata and governance rules within a Google Cloud environment. (GCP)
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Governance & Quality Management : Implement and monitor data governance policies, security protocols, and compliance with regulations.
- Business Requirement & Technical Liaison: Act as a conduit between business stakeholders and data engineering teams to ensure business rules are correctly implemented in pipelines and data warehouses.
- Dashboard : Develop & maintain dashboards and optimize performance. Integrate Tableau with various data sources (SQL, Excel, cloud platforms, etc.) and perform analysis.
- Training & Support : Provide training to end-users and maintain documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8+ years with at least 5 years of experience in Tableau development, preferably in the Global Sourcing Industry, with data governance and management roles.
- Strong understanding of data visualization best practices in public cloud domain
- Experience with SQL, ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Preferable experience in NotebookLM and other tools and documentation (e.g. JIRA, Confluence and Google workspace).
